Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 31. A reporter learned from China Aviation Industry Corporation that the “ Xinzhou 60 fire extinguisher has successfully completed the first test flight of the platform recently, laying the foundation for the next stage of R&D test flight, qualification approval test flight and airworthiness evidence collection.
“Xinzhou”60 fire extinguisher is one of the important models of civilian products of the Aviation Industry Group. As a multi-purpose aircraft based on forward design, the fire extinguisher is a large and medium-sized fixed-wing aviation firefighting aircraft with independent intellectual property rights and strictly in accordance with the airworthiness standards of transportation aircraft. It has functions such as water drop-out fire extinguishing, air communication command, and fire prevention and monitoring. It has the ability to quickly convert transportation and fire extinguishing system functions, and can undertake emergency rescue tasks for personnel transportation and material transportation. This model inherits the mature technology and advantages of the "Xinzhou" aircraft, with fast cruise speed, long range, low-altitude flight speed, high reliability, and strong service guarantee system. It has obvious advantages in disaster relief material transportation, long-distance cross-region aircraft control, etc.
“Xinzhou”60 fire extinguisher development was launched in June 2021, and it is planned to complete airworthiness evidence collection this year.
